You have quite an interesting gallery of your own. I have a feeling my girlfriend is going to have a fit over some of your costumes. Personally, I love your 'wings' design.
Very glad to make your aquaintance.

First you find a wooden dowel rod that's the right size for the rings you want to make. Wrap the rod with a layer or two of masking tape, then you wrap the wire around as tight, and as close together (like a spring) as you can make them. The tighter it is, the more uniform the rings will be. Secure the ends with masking tape (they'll want to pull out, it takes a couple wraps around and i bend them up to make taping easier), then wrap the whole coil in masking tape. Put the dowel rod into a vise grip (trust me if you try and hold it yourself while you're cutting you'll put a sawblade into your fingers), and then just cut them right on the dowel rod. I like to use a spiral cut from top to bottom, it's really tough to cut it in a straight line down. Pop them off the dowel end and pickle to clean off any stray tape adhesive. The slightly diagonal cut also provides more surface area for when you solder them back together than a straight across cut.
I wish I could remember where I picked that one up, a real timesaver!
when i do my rings i like to find a metal rod instead if possible. makes it lots easier to get the rings off. otherwise they like to stay in the little dents they make. phoo.
